Are you and a friend looking for something to do on cold wintery Friday evenings?
MFJ is hosting a Friday evening S-A-F-E-T-Y program.
(Speed Agility Fitness Excellence Training for Youth)
We are offering a 4 week session
Fridays from March 7th - March 28h for $45.
5:30-6:30 for ages U12 and 6:30-7:30 for U13 and up
If you cannot make all 4 sessions dop ins are welcome at $15 a session.
Dianne Strawser, a certified strength and conditioning specialist for over 10 years and one of our Fire Coaches, will be leading the Friday night fitness frenzy. The content of the sessions will include technical instruction for running and sprinting, agility and fast footwork so cutting and changing direction becomes more efficient, plyometric training to increase speed and power, and core strengthening to improve such thing as holding off defenders and improving balance with the ball. Also we will perform balance and coordination exercises which are essential for all youth athletes to excel in sport. We will include mental conditioning in each session as well. To have the passion, the desire, the drive to get better and do the little things necessary to be better each time we train or compete.
Toughness is doing what it takes to make a difference. Toughness is not thinking or accepting that you have a ceiling but you have another step to take, another level to reach, another gear!
